St. Vincent de Paul Annual Collection weekends 12/13 & 19/20 December 2020

Once again we ask for your support for our Annual Christmas Collection which will be held after all Masses in Christ the King over the  weekends of 12th & 13th and 19th & 20th of December.

Christmas is meant to be a time of togetherness and hope, but for many families it will be filled with worry. Families face impossible choices as they struggle with the decision of topping up the electricity metre or having a Christmas dinner. Should they put presents under the tree or oil in the tank?  Christmas is not the same for everyone but with your help we can alleviate the struggle of families and help ensure everyone is safe and warm and can enjoy a little bit of the magic that comes with this season.

Each year our conference deals with over 500 requests from families and people in need in our community and we have continued to do so right through the pandemic. We rely entirely on the support of you, our generous parishioners. We are very grateful for the wonderful response to our recent Family Voucher Appeal and thank you in advance for your continued support for our Christmas Appeal.

The support you so willingly give, week after week, helps families and individuals who are struggling to keep their homes warm, put food on the table, afford basic clothing and school costs or even their rent. Last Christmas our Conference spent £8776 helping people in the Aghanloo, Ballykelly, Glack and Limavady community. Over this period we assisted 169 families and individuals with fuel, food vouchers, cash and also delivered 65 food hampers. Our joint Christmas Family Appeal with the Salvation Army provided gifts and toys for 190 children in 90 families.

Without you we would not be able to help these families. Any donation you can give will be greatly appreciated and will make a big difference to those who need it most in our community.
